Refugi del Riu dels Orris, situated at an altitude of 2,230 meters in the parish of Escaldes-Engordany, is a welcoming mountain refuge in the heart of Andorra's breathtaking scenery. The refuge lies in the Madriu-Perafita-Claror Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage site recognized for its natural beauty and cultural significance. This unmanned refuge, owned by the Govern d'Andorra and inaugurated in 1981, is open throughout the year, providing a basic yet comfortable shelter for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts. The stone building is equipped with six bunk beds (without mattresses), a fireplace, a table, and benches. A first-aid kit and a broom/shovel are also available. Water can be found nearby. The area surrounding the refuge is rich in hiking trails, including the GR 11 and GRP. The refuge is located near the Pla de l'Ingla, on the right bank of the Madriu River. It's also situated close to the Estany de l'Illa, Estany de la Bova, Estany Forcat and Basses de Setut. Historically, the site has been used since Roman times, with evidence of livestock farming dating back to the 1st century AD. An old oven, dating back to the 2nd century, was also excavated on the site. Visitors should bring their own sleeping bags and mats, as the metal bunk frames can get cold.
