Nestled in the charming village of Pal, in La Massana, Andorra, the Església de Sant Climent de Pal stands as a testament to the country's rich Romanesque heritage. Believed to have been constructed in the late 11th or early 12th centuries, this church is one of the oldest surviving temples in Andorra. Although there is no documentation of its construction, the town of Pal was first mentioned in 1112. The church's architecture showcases a rectangular nave and retains much of its original Romanesque walls. The apse, however, was rebuilt in the late 17th or early 18th centuries, replacing the original Romanesque design. A notable feature is the Lombard-style bell tower, distinguished by its three floors of mullioned windows; the double mullioned windows on the top floor are unique in Andorra. Inside, visitors can admire a granite font, a 13th-century Romanesque statue of the Virgin of the Remei, and an altarpiece dedicated to Pope Saint Clement. Visitors can explore the church's interior, which houses significant religious and artistic relics. The church can be accessed through a porch featuring a semi-circular arch, built in the 20th century by architect Cèsar Martinell.
