Pont de París: Andorra la Vella's Modern Icon

The Pont de París, or Paris Bridge, is a testament to modern architecture in Andorra la Vella. Opened in 2006, this eye-catching bridge crosses the Valira River, linking Avinguda Doctor Mitjavila with Avinguda Consell d'Europa. Its avant-garde design includes a straight section of 45 meters and a semicircular section of 27 meters, creating a dynamic and visually interesting composition. The bridge's most notable features are the two large steel spheres, each 2.2 meters in diameter, that sit atop triangular structures. These spheres have led locals to affectionately call it 'The Bridge of the Balls'.
