This humble house, once home to a family of day laborers, offers a poignant glimpse into Andorran life between the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The three-story building, originally constructed in the late 18th century, retains its original layout and many historic fixtures. The house features a cellar, a ground-floor tool storage, a combined kitchen and dining area, and modest bedrooms. Examine the details of daily life, from the slab sink and the secret drawer for hiding money to the centennial christening gown passed down through generations. The "upper room" on the second floor served as a multifunctional space for work and celebration. Casa Cristo was inhabited until 1947 when its last residents moved to France. The Comú of Encamp purchased the house in 1995 and opened it as a museum in 2000.
