Perched high in the Andorran Pyrenees, the Mirador Roc del Quer offers visitors an unforgettable experience, blending natural beauty with modern architecture. This extraordinary observation deck, also known as Mirador de Canillo, is located in the picturesque region of Canillo and provides breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys, including Montaup and Valira d'Orient. The highlight of the Mirador Roc del Quer is its cantilevered platform, completed in 2016, which extends 12 meters out from the cliff's edge. This design creates the sensation of floating above the landscape, with the village of Canillo unfolding 500 meters below. Part of the platform features a transparent glass floor, adding to the thrill and heightening the sense of suspension. At the end of the walkway stands a statue called “The Ponderer,” created by Miguel Ángel González, an Argentine sculptor. This calm, composed figure watches the valley and invites viewers to pause to consider the amazing beauty of the surrounds. The journey to the Mirador Roc del Quer is also an experience in itself. The road winds through the Andorran countryside, offering scenic views along the way. Near the entrance to the viewpoint, visitors encounter the "Self-generating Structures", a group of sculptures created in 1991 by Mexican artist Jorge Dubon. These three totem poles capture the natural human yearning to interact with the mountains' majesty.

Getting There

Car
If driving, head towards Ordino. From Ordino's center, take the Ctra. de Montaup road (CS-240) north, following signs for Mirador Roc del Quer. The drive is approximately 10-15 minutes. A large parking area is available just before the viewpoint. From the parking lot, it's a short, 10-minute walk down a 400 meter path to the observation deck. Parking is free.

Public Transport
To reach Mirador Roc del Quer by public transport, take a bus from Andorra la Vella to Ordino. From Andorra la Vella, buses L3, L4, and BN2 will take you to the 'Palau De Gel' bus stop. From there, take bus L4 towards Canillo. The bus will drop you off near the tourist center, where you can purchase a ticket for both the Tibetan Bridge and the Mirador Roc del Quer for approximately €14.50, which includes the bus transport. The bus will first stop at the Tibetan Bridge and then at Mirador Roc del Quer. Alternatively, from Ordino, you can walk to Ctra. de Montaup (approximately 30 minutes) or take a local taxi to the observation deck. Bus fare is approximately €1.90 per way.
