Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Cubil parking area in Grandvalira-Grau Roig, follow the Montmalús ski slope upwards, heading south. Continue past Coma Estremera lake until you reach Collada de Montmalús. From there, follow the signs to Montmalús lake, where the refuge is located. The hike is approximately 5.3 km and takes around 2 hours with a moderate difficulty. There are no costs associated with this route.

    Drive to Soldeu, then continue on foot along the ski track to Coma Estremera Lake (2,392 meters altitude). Then climb la Coma to the pass, just in front and to the left of the Pic de Soldeu passing through els Fontanals, Port Dret and following the Sant Josep river to the hut. Parking in Soldeu typically costs around €1-2 per hour, with daily rates around €5-10.
