Walking

From the central area of Luanda, head towards Avenida 4 de Fevereiro along the waterfront. Continue until you reach Praça da República, where the National Assembly building is located. From there, proceed to Rua da Missão and walk uphill towards Calçada de São Miguel. Follow the signs to the fortress; the walk should take approximately 20-25 minutes.

Find a minibus heading towards Ingombota. These minibuses usually display their destination on the front. Board the minibus and ask the conductor to let you know when you reach Ingombota. From the minibus stop, walk a short distance to Calçada de São Miguel. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions to the fortress, which is about a 10-minute walk. The fare is approximately 50 Kwanza.
