Car
From Opuwo, the nearest town with amenities, take the C43 road northwest for approximately 100 km. Then, turn left onto the C35 and continue for about 80 km. Follow signs to Epupa Falls. A 4x4 vehicle is recommended. The drive from Opuwo to Epupa Falls takes approximately 3-4 hours. Be sure to have enough fuel and supplies, as they are limited in Epupa.
Public Transport
From Opuwo, take a shared taxi (a 'taxi') towards Epupa. Confirm with the driver that they will drop you off near the falls. The journey takes about 3-4 hours, depending on road conditions. The fare ranges from 150 to 200 Namibian Dollars (NAD). Taxis may not run frequently, so plan accordingly.
Walking
Once in the Epupa Falls area, walking trails lead to different viewpoints of the falls. Follow the paths along the Kunene River to explore the area on foot. Be cautious near the riverbank due to the presence of crocodiles and hippos.
