    From the center of Divundu, Popa Game Park is approximately 5 km to the east. Follow the main road eastward, keeping an eye out for signs indicating the direction of the park. The walk should take around an hour, so it's best to start early to avoid the midday heat.

    From Divundu, drive east towards Bagani. Popa Game Park is located just south of Divundu on the road to the Botswana border. The park is easily accessible by car, and the drive from Divundu only takes a few minutes.

Popa Game Park, also known as Popa Falls, offers a unique experience where the Okavango River crosses Namibia's Caprivi Strip. The park's main attraction is the series of cascading rapids, known as Popa Falls, created by a quartzite ledge in the riverbed. While not towering waterfalls, the rapids are most impressive when the river is low.Founded in 1989, the park protects a small patch of lush riverine forest and several small islands. This diverse habitat is home to over 400 bird species, including the slaty egret and saddle-billed stork. Wildlife enthusiasts may also spot hippos, crocodiles, and vervet monkeys.Visitors can enjoy hiking, angling, and bird watching. The park serves as a convenient base for exploring other nearby protected areas such as Khaudum National Park, and the Buffalo and Mahango areas of Bwabwata National Park. A small rest camp and campsite are available.
