Mupa National Park is accessible by car from Lubango. Take the EN280 road towards Menongue, then continue towards Caiundo. From Caiundo, follow local signs or ask locals for directions to the park. Be prepared for rough, unpaved roads; a sturdy vehicle is recommended. There are no toll roads on the way to Mupa National Park. Parking is available near the park entrance. It is advisable to fill your gas tank in larger towns as gas stations can be sparse. Hiring a local guide may cost around AOA 5,000-10,000 per day.
Public Transport
To reach Mupa National Park via public transport, take a bus from Luanda to Menongue. From Menongue, take a local minibus or taxi to Caiundo. In Caiundo, arrange for local transportation or a guide to take you to the park. Be prepared for longer travel times and potential delays. Bus fares from Luanda to Menongue can range from AOA 8,000 to AOA 15,000. Minibus or taxi fares from Menongue to Caiundo may cost around AOA 2,000 to AOA 5,000. Hiring local transportation from Caiundo to the park can cost AOA 3,000-7,000.
