Getting There
Taxi
From the Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport (AXA), a taxi is the most convenient way to reach The Cap Shack. Taxis are readily available outside the airport terminal. The ride to Maundays Bay is approximately 15-20 minutes. Taxi fares are fixed and regulated by the government, with rates posted at the airport. Expect to pay around $26-$30 for two people with luggage, plus an additional charge of $5 per extra person and $1 per additional piece of luggage. There may be a surcharge of $4 for trips between 6 PM and midnight, and $10 for trips between midnight and 6 AM. Confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.
Driving
If you choose to rent a car, which is recommended for exploring Anguilla, follow these directions from the airport: Exit the airport and turn left onto the main road. Continue straight, passing through The Valley, Anguilla's capital. Follow the signs towards the West End. Once you reach West End Road, turn left towards Maundays Bay. The Cap Shack is located on Maundays Bay, with parking available nearby. Note that driving is on the left-hand side of the road. A temporary Anguillian driver's license costs $28 and can be purchased through the rental company. Car rentals typically range from $40-$75 per day.
