Willoughby Bay is also known as a popular spot for sailing, given its proximity to Antigua's main sailing port, which hosts several world-renowned sailing events throughout the year.Historically, Willoughby Bay was one of Antigua's natural ports. In the 17th century, an English trading post was established here and protected by Fort William. Today, the ruins of Fort William can still be seen.
