To reach Long Bay Beach by public transport from St. John's, take a local bus heading towards Willikies from the bus terminal. Ask the driver to drop you off in Willikies. From there, walk along Long Bay Road towards the beach; it's about a 15-20 minute walk (approximately 1 mile). Be aware of local traffic while walking. A bus from Bolands to Long Bay, with transfers, takes around 1 hour and 26 minutes and costs $12-$14.
