If driving from St. John's, head east on Sir George Walter Highway (A1) towards Willikies. Continue on A1 for about 11 miles (approximately 20 minutes). At the roundabout in Willikies, take the second exit onto Long Bay Road. Follow this road for about 1 mile until you reach Long Bay Beach. There is a free parking area near the beach entrance, though spaces can be limited. Street parking is also available nearby.

To reach Long Bay Beach by public transport from St. John's, take a local bus heading towards Willikies from the bus terminal. Ask the driver to drop you off in Willikies. From there, walk along Long Bay Road towards the beach; it's about a 15-20 minute walk (approximately 1 mile). Be aware of local traffic while walking. A bus from Bolands to Long Bay, with transfers, takes around 1 hour and 26 minutes and costs $12-$14.
