Know before you go

Hi, I'm Eve. Here are a few practical things to know before exploring Stingray City Antigua.

  • Book your tour in advance, especially if visiting on a Wednesday, Friday, or Saturday, as these are popular cruise ship days and tours tend to fill up quickly.
  • Wear sunscreen and bring a hat, as there is limited shade on the boat and at the sandbar.
  • Don't wear jewelry or other shiny objects that might attract the stingrays.
  • Follow the guides' instructions carefully to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for both you and the stingrays. The 'stingray shuffle' is a good way to avoid stepping on a ray.
  • Bring a waterproof camera or purchase photos from the on-site vendor to capture your memories of this unique experience.
