    Start from the beach area of Dickenson Bay. Head east along the beachfront until you reach the main road, which is called the Dickenson Bay Road. Turn right onto Dickenson Bay Road and continue straight. You will pass several hotels and restaurants on your left. After about 15-20 minutes of walking, you will come to the junction with Sir George Walter Highway. Turn left onto Sir George Walter Highway. Continue walking for about 10 minutes until you see signs for Fort James. Follow the signs and walk up the road leading towards the fort. After approximately 5 minutes, you will arrive at Fort James, which will be on your left.

    From Dickenson Bay, walk to the nearest bus stop located along the main Dickenson Bay Road. You can take a local bus heading towards St. John's.
