Walking
If you are already in Old Road, you can reach Mount Carmel by walking. From the center of Old Road, head north along the main road. It is approximately a 15-20 minute walk (1 kilometer) to the location. Look for the sign indicating Mount Carmel on your left. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes as the trail may be uneven. No cost for walking.
Public Transport
To reach Mount Carmel using public transportation, you can take a local bus from St. John's or Falmouth to Old Road. Buses run frequently throughout the day. Inform the driver that you want to go to Old Road. Once you arrive at Old Road, walk approximately 1 kilometer to the north until you reach the sign for Mount Carmel on your left. The bus fare is generally around $2-3 EC (Eastern Caribbean dollars).
Taxi
Taxis are readily available throughout Antigua. From Falmouth, a taxi to Mount Carmel will cost approximately $24 XCD. From St. John's, the taxi fare will be around $19 XCD. Be sure to agree on the fare with the driver before starting your journey. The journey takes approximately 20-30 minutes from either location.
Car
If you are driving, start from the main town of Codrington. Head west on the Queen Elizabeth Highway towards Old Road. After approximately 4 kilometers, you will reach a junction. Take the right turn onto Old Road. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you see the sign for Mount Carmel on your left. The exact location is at 255H+M8, Old Road. Parking is available near the trailhead. Car rentals typically cost US$40-50 per day.
