Car
If you are driving from the center of Saint George, start by heading southeast on Main Street. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the Antigua and Barbuda Highway (Route 1). Turn right onto Route 1 and follow it for approximately 2 kilometers. Look for signs indicating Fort Berkeley or follow the road signs directing you toward the coast. After about 2 kilometers, turn left onto a small road leading towards Fort Berkeley. Follow this narrow road until you reach the parking area near the fort.
Public Transportation
From the center of Saint George, you can take a local bus or minibus heading toward the northern part of the island. Catch a bus that is labeled for 'Fort James' or 'Falmouth,' as these routes generally pass through the area. The fare is usually around $2-3 EC (Eastern Caribbean dollars). Inform the driver of your destination, and they will drop you off near Fort Berkeley. From the drop-off point, it is a short walk of about 10 minutes to the entrance of Fort Berkeley. Follow the coastal path to reach the fort.
Taxi
You can also hire a taxi from anywhere in Saint George. It’s best to agree on a fare before starting your journey. The cost should be around $10-15 EC for a one-way trip to Fort Berkeley, depending on your starting location. The taxi will drop you off directly at the fort entrance, making it a convenient option if you prefer not to walk.
