Getting There

  • Public Transport

    From Bariloche, take local buses (Routes 10, 20, 50, or 55) to access various trailheads and attractions within the park. Purchase a SUBE card for convenient payment. Bus routes 10 and 20 travel along Avenida Bustillo, providing access to the eastern portions of the park, while bus 55 will take you to Cerro Catedral. A taxi from Bariloche to the park will cost approximately ARS 27,000 - ARS 33,000. Bus fares vary, and it is best to check the current rates at the Bariloche Tourist Information Centre.

  • Driving

    From Bariloche, National Route 40 and 231 provide access to Nahuel Huapi National Park. Driving to trailheads and campgrounds is possible, with some areas like Pampa Linda requiring self-driving or a chartered bus. Be aware that some roads, especially those leading to Cerro Tronador, may have restricted access times. Parking is available at most trailheads, but availability may be limited during peak season.

  • Ferry

    To visit Isla Victoria or the Arrayanes Forest, take a catamaran from Bariloche. Round-trip ferry tickets typically cost between ARS 10,000 and ARS 20,000. These tours often include access to other attractions like Puerto Blest and Cascada de los Cantaros.
