Public Transport

From Plaza de Mayo, take bus number 39. Board the bus at the stop located on Avenida de Mayo and ride it for about 15 minutes. Alternatively, make your way to the 'Catedral' subway station on Line A (light blue line). Take the train towards 'San Pedrito' and get off at the 'Catedral' stop. From there, walk south on Avenida de Mayo for about 5 minutes until you reach Avenida 9 de Julio. A single bus or subway ride costs approximately AR$270-757. Remember to have a SUBE card to pay for your fare.

Walking

If you are already in the Monserrat neighborhood, you can simply walk to Colón Park. Start from the intersection of Cerrito and Tucumán. Walk towards Avenida de Mayo and continue until you reach Avenida 9 de Julio, where you'll find the park.

Colón Park is an urban sanctuary in the heart of Buenos Aires, Argentina. After Puerto Madero replaced the original port, the area remained landlocked for several years. During the 1910 centennial celebrations, a French fountain that had been in the space was removed, and the Italian community collected funds for a monument. In 2013, the Christopher Columbus monument, donated by the Italian community, was removed and replaced with a monument to Juana Azurduy.Today, visitors can enjoy the park's natural beauty, relax on benches, let children play in the playgrounds, and appreciate the open spaces for recreation. Colón Park is also strategically located near iconic landmarks, making it a convenient stop for tourists exploring Buenos Aires.
