Public Transport
From downtown Bariloche, take the Line 55 bus towards Cerro Catedral. The bus departs from Neumeyer y Morales approximately every hour and the journey takes about 35 minutes. A SUBE card is required to pay the bus fare, which costs approximately ARS $5561. The bus drops you off at the base of Cerro Catedral.
Taxi/Remise
Taxis and 'remises' (chauffeured cars) are readily available in Bariloche. A remise from central Bariloche to Cerro Catedral typically costs between ARS $35,000 and $42,000 and the journey takes around 25 minutes. It's advisable to negotiate the price beforehand. Taxis and remises can be found at a rank in Cerro Catedral for the return trip.
Driving
The drive from Bariloche to Cerro Catedral is straightforward on a paved road (Av. Bustillo). From downtown Bariloche, follow Av. Bustillo for approximately 20 km (12 miles) to the access road for Cerro Catedral. Turn left and follow the paved road to the base of the mountain. Parking is available at Playa Sur (paid) and Playa del Valle (free with shuttle). Daily parking at Playa Sur costs ARS $700, but is restricted to 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
