If you're traveling by car, start from the nearest major town, El Bolsón. Head south on Route 40 for approximately 88 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 6. Take a left onto Route 6, which eventually leads you to the town of Lago Puelo. Continue on Route 6 for about 30 kilometers until you reach the entrance to Parque Nacional Lago Puelo. After entering the park, follow the signs for Refugio Otto Meiling, which is located at the end of the trailhead. Note that parking is available near the trailhead. You should also be aware that you may incur a fee for entering the national park, typically around 100-200 ARS per person, so make sure to have some cash on hand.
