Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from Cerro Tronador and head towards San Carlos de Bariloche. Take Route 40 north. After approximately 20 km, look for signs for Lago Gutierrez and follow the road towards it. The drive should take around 30-40 minutes. Once you reach Lago Gutierrez, follow the signs to the Mirador, which is located at the viewpoint offering stunning views of the lake and surrounding mountains. There is no parking fee at the viewpoint.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, you can take a bus from Cerro Tronador to San Carlos de Bariloche. Check the local bus schedules as they may vary. Once you arrive in Bariloche, transfer to a local bus that goes to Lago Gutierrez. The bus ride from Bariloche will take about 30 minutes. Ensure to ask the bus driver to drop you at the nearest stop to the Mirador. From there, a short walk will lead you to the viewpoint. Be prepared for a small fare for the bus rides, typically around 100-200 ARS depending on the distance.

• Hiking

  For the more adventurous, you can hike to Mirador Lago Gutierrez from nearby trails in Cerro Tronador. Start your hike from the base of Cerro Tronador, following the well-marked trails towards Lago Gutierrez. The hike is approximately 8 km and will take around 2-3 hours depending on your pace. Always bring sufficient water, snacks, and proper hiking gear. There are no entrance fees, but ensure you check local weather conditions before setting out.
