Founded in 1920 by Dante Robino, an Italian immigrant from Piedmont, the winery carries a rich history and a commitment to crafting exceptional wines.Robino, who was born in Canelli, Italy, in 1895, first opened a restaurant in Buenos Aires called "El Rincón del Novecientos," where he bottled his first wines. He later moved his operations to Mendoza, recognizing the region's prime winemaking potential. The winery remained under family control until 1982, when it was acquired by Alejandro Squassini, who modernized the facilities and expanded its vineyards. In 2020, Cervecería y Maltería Quilmes acquired Bodega Dante Robino, further expanding its reach.Today, Bodega Dante Robino operates over 1200 hectares of vineyards in various locations throughout Argentina, seeking the best expression of each varietal. The winery is known for its diverse portfolio, including Malbec, Bonarda, and sparkling wines. The Gran Dante Malbec, sourced from Los Chacayes in the Uco Valley, has received international acclaim, including the title of Best Malbec in the World at the International Wine Challenge.
