Overview
Bodega Zolo, nestled in the Agrelo region of Mendoza, Argentina, is a testament to sustainable and organic winemaking. Established in 2000, this modern winery boasts a capacity of two million liters, housed in state-of-the-art steel tanks and two aging rooms with 1,300 barrels. Under the guidance of winemaker Fabian Valenzuela and with the collaboration of renowned consultant Jean Claude Berrouet, Bodega Zolo crafts wines that reflect the unique terroir of the region. The winery sources grapes from its vineyards in Lujan de Cuyo and Maipu, located in the Mendoza River Valley at elevations between 800 and 1,000 meters above sea level. These vineyards are cultivated using eco-friendly methods, including manual harvesting, to ensure the highest quality grapes.Visitors to Bodega Zolo can immerse themselves in the world of winemaking with a variety of experiences. Take a traditional carriage ride through the vineyards, where you might spot llamas and other local animals roaming freely. Participate in wine tastings, sampling wines directly from the tanks and barrels, and even blend your own wine. The winery produces a range of red, white, rosé, and sparkling wines, all crafted using organic techniques and aged for eight months in oak barrels. These wines are known for their vibrant fruitiness and ripe tannins.Bodega Zolo's commitment to sustainability has been recognized with several awards, including the Amorim Sustainability Award in 2017. The winery is certified by Global Gap, ensuring its adherence to sustainable and organic winemaking practices. With its modern facilities, eco-friendly practices, and dedication to quality, Bodega Zolo offers a unique and memorable wine tourism experience in the heart of Mendoza's wine country.
