Getting there

Public Transport

From Mendoza city center, take bus line 173 from Terminal del Sol towards Luján de Cuyo. Ask the driver to be let off at the Agrelo stop (approx. 40 minutes). From there, it's about a 1.5 km walk east on RP15 to Bodegas Chandon. The bus fare is approximately 50 ARS. Note that there is no direct connection from Mendoza to Agrelo, so a transfer is required in Lujan.

Taxi/Rideshare

A taxi or rideshare from Mendoza city center to Bodegas Chandon takes about 30 minutes, depending on traffic. The fare ranges from 800 to 1500 ARS. Taxis are readily available in Mendoza, or you can use ride-sharing apps like Uber or Cabify.

Driving

From Mendoza city center, head east on Avenida San Martín, merging onto Ruta Nacional 7 (RN7) towards Luján de Cuyo. After about 20 km, take the exit for Ruta Provincial 15 (RP15) towards Agrelo. Continue on RP15 for approximately 9 km until you reach Km. 29. Bodegas Chandon will be on your left. Free parking is available on-site.

Bodegas Chandon stands as a testament to the vision of Robert-Jean de Vogüé, then president of Moët & Chandon, who sought exceptional terroirs beyond France to produce quality sparkling wine. In 1959, Chandon was established in Agrelo, Mendoza, becoming the first foreign-owned winery in Argentina and marking the beginning of a global expansion for the brand.The winery specializes in sparkling wines, utilizing Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes grown in the high-altitude vineyards. Visitors can explore the grounds through guided tours, learning about the winemaking process from grape to bottle. These tours often include visits to the vineyards, production areas, and cellars.Wine enthusiasts can indulge in tastings of Chandon's signature sparkling wines, complemented by local delicacies. The winery also features Bistró Chandon, a restaurant offering a four-course menu paired exclusively with sparkling wines. The outdoor terrace provides panoramic views of the vineyards and the Andes Mountains, creating a serene setting for relaxation. The winery is open Monday to Sunday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
