From the Paine Grande Refugio, follow the well-marked trail towards Valle del Francés. The hike to Campamento Italiano, at the entrance of the French Valley, is roughly 2.5 hours. From Campamento Italiano, the trail to Mirador Británico is approximately 3.4 miles (5.5 km) each way and takes about 2-3 hours, with a constant elevation gain. Remember to factor in time for the return journey and the last catamaran from Paine Grande. Note that CONAF may restrict access past certain points after specified times.

    To reach the Mirador Británico trailhead using public transport, take a bus from Puerto Natales to Torres del Paine National Park. Buses typically cost $10-$30 USD one way. Get off at Pudeto, where you can catch the catamaran across Lago Pehoé to Paine Grande. The catamaran fare is approximately 35,000 CLP (about $37 USD), payable in cash. From Paine Grande, follow the hiking guidance to reach Mirador Británico. Remember to check the bus and catamaran schedules in advance, as they are limited and can vary depending on the season. Purchase tickets online for the bus with Bus-Sur. It is not possible to reserve the ferry in advance, so arrive early during the busy season to line up.

    If driving, enter Torres del Paine National Park and follow signs towards Lago Pehoé. Drive to the parking area near Paine Grande. Parking is available for a small fee, around 5,000 CLP. Note that you will need to pay an entrance fee to the national park, which is approximately $49 USD per person for over three days. From the parking area, take the catamaran across Lago Pehoé to Paine Grande (approximately 35,000 CLP), and then follow the hiking guidance to Mirador Británico.
