Getting There

    From Formosa City, head west on Route 11 for about 50 km until you reach the junction with Route 86. Turn left onto Route 86 and continue for approximately 20 km. Look for signs for Bañado La Estrella and follow the dirt road leading to the wetland area. Be prepared for rough terrain and consider a vehicle with high clearance. Parking is available near the entrance. Note that fuel stations can be sparse, so plan refueling stops. There are no tolls on this route.

    From Formosa, take a bus towards Clorinda. Ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest point to Bañado La Estrella. From there, hire a local taxi or motorcycle taxi to cover the remaining distance to the wetland. Negotiate the fare in advance, which should be around 500-800 ARS.
