  • Air

    To reach Mallín Alto, fly into Buenos Aires' Ezeiza or Jorge Newbery airports, then take a 2-hour flight to San Carlos de Bariloche International Airport (BRC). From Chile, you can find direct flights to Bariloche from Santiago. From São Paulo, Brazil, you can also fly directly to Bariloche.

  • Ground Transportation

    Mallín Alto is located 20 minutes from the Bariloche International Airport. From the airport, Mallín Alto provides transport to the lodge, which may include a 4x4 vehicle and snowmobile, depending on snow conditions. Contact Mallín Alto in advance to arrange pickup. Due to the remote location and challenging terrain, self-driving is not recommended beyond the designated base staging area.

Situated at 1,700 meters above sea level, about 23 km south of San Carlos de Bariloche and a 20-minute drive from the international airport, this privately-owned backcountry retreat spans over 6,000 hectares.Originally a family ranch dating back to 1881, Mallín Alto has transformed into a haven for adventure-seeking skiers and snowboarders. The terrain is a dream for experts, featuring expansive tree runs, open faces, and steep chutes against the backdrop of the Andes. Guided excursions ensure both exhilarating and safe descents. Snowfalls begin in mid-May, with the ski season running from early June to the end of October. The best powder snow is typically found from mid-June to August.Accommodation is provided in cozy mountain domes and lodges, blending rustic charm with comfort. After a day on the slopes, guests can relax in a hot tub with panoramic mountain views and enjoy full-board gourmet meals featuring Patagonian specialties, regional wines, and handcrafted beers. Snowmobile and ATV transport to the slopes adds to the adventure. Mallín Alto is an all-inclusive resort, providing a personalized experience for small groups limited to just 15 guests.
