Discover more about La Aripuca

La Aripuca offers a captivating blend of environmental awareness and cultural appreciation in Puerto Iguazú. The park's centerpiece is a giant replica of a traditional Guaraní trap, known as an 'aripuca', constructed from salvaged tree trunks. This impressive structure stands 17 meters tall and weighs 500,000 kg, built with over 30 native tree species, some over 500 years old. None of the wood was cut for the construction; it was all rescued from trees that were illegally logged or had fallen naturally. Visitors can walk inside the aripuca and appreciate the size and craftsmanship while learning about the different tree species and the importance of forest conservation. The park also includes the Tacurú building, made of local stones and showcasing regional crafts, and a replica of a rural settler's house called Yateí, where you can find regional products. You can also enjoy yerba mate and Rosella flower petal ice cream. La Aripuca aims to educate visitors about the impact of deforestation and the importance of preserving the Misiones rainforest, blending environmental education with the region's cultural heritage.
