Public Transport
From the main bus terminal in Humahuaca, take a local bus heading towards Tilcara. Inform the driver you wish to get off at Peña Blanca. The bus fare is approximately 50 ARS, and the ride takes about 30 minutes. From the main road, it's about a 1 km walk to the climbing area.
Taxi
Hire a taxi from Humahuaca to Peña Blanca. Negotiate the fare before starting your journey; expect to pay around 300-400 ARS for a round trip. Arrange a pickup time for your return.
Driving
From Humahuaca, drive south on Route 9 for about 10 km. Look for the signs for Peña Blanca and turn off onto the unpaved road. Continue for approximately 3 km to the parking area. The road can be rough, so a vehicle with good clearance is recommended. Parking is free.
Walking
If you are in Humahuaca and prefer to hike, you can walk to Peña Blanca. From the main square, take a scenic route south along the riverbank trail. Follow the river for about 10 kilometers until you reach the Peña Blanca rock formation. This will take approximately 2-3 hours, so bring water and snacks.
