Getting There

• Bus

  Take the local bus from the city center (Civic Center area) to the 'Cerro López' stop. You can catch bus line 10, which departs from the main bus terminal or designated bus stops around the Civic Center. The ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes, offering scenic views of the surrounding mountains. Once you arrive at 'Cerro López', follow the signs that lead you to the trailhead for hiking or the viewpoint.

• Taxi

  For a more direct option, you can hail a taxi from any point in San Carlos de Bariloche. Just inform the driver that you want to go to 'Cerro López'. The journey will take about 20-25 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to agree on the fare beforehand or ensure that the taxi is metered.

• Walking

  If you are feeling adventurous and are staying close to the base of Cerro López, you can consider hiking there. Starting from the Civic Center, head towards Av. de los Pioneros, which is the main road leading to the mountain. It's a 10-15 kilometer walk, so ensure you have enough time and are prepared with water and snacks. Follow the trail signs along Av. de los Pioneros to reach the entrance to Cerro López.

• Bike Rental

  You can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops near the Civic Center. Once you have your bike, head towards Av. de los Pioneros. The ride to Cerro López will take about 30 minutes. Look for designated bike paths along the route for safety. Once you reach the area, there are bike racks available to secure your bike while you explore the trails.
