The bus will drop you off at Avenida de los Pioneros Km 5, where the cable car station is located. From there, purchase a ticket for the cable car to reach the summit. A free shuttle service is also available from downtown Bariloche to the cable car station. Check the schedule at the corner of Mitre & Villegas. Cost: * Bus fare: 92 ARS per way (requires SUBE card) * Cable car: $36 USD per person.

  • Walking

    From downtown Bariloche, you can walk to Cerro Otto following Avenida de los Pioneros. The walk to the cable car base (Avenida de los Pioneros Km 5) takes approximately 1 hour. From there, you can either take the cable car to the summit or continue walking up the Acceso Cerro Otto road. Walking the Acceso Cerro Otto road to the summit takes approximately 2.5 hours. Be aware of the traffic as you walk along the road. Alternatively, a more challenging but rewarding option is to hike up under the cable car line. The trailhead is located to the right of the police station. This hike is steep and takes about 1 hour. Cost: * Entrance fee to Cerro Otto complex (if hiking): 2/3 of the cable car price.
