Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Ushuaia and take the Route 3 (Ruta Nacional 3) heading southwest. Continue on this road for about 30 kilometers until you reach the entrance of Tierra del Fuego National Park. There is a toll fee of approximately ARS 500 per vehicle to enter the park. Once inside the park, follow the signs directing you to the 'Cascada del Caminante' trailhead. This is located near the ‘Bahía Ensenada’ area. Park your car in the designated parking area.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take a bus from Ushuaia to Tierra del Fuego National Park. Buses leave frequently from the main bus terminal in Ushuaia. The fare is around ARS 250-350 for a one-way ticket. Once you arrive at the park entrance, you can either hike to the 'Cascada del Caminante' trailhead, which is about a 30-minute walk, or check if there are any shuttle services available for a small fee. The trailhead is well-marked, so follow the signs towards 'Cascada del Caminante'.
Hiking
The final stretch to 'Cascada del Caminante' involves a moderate hike. From the parking area or the nearest bus drop-off point, follow the marked trail which is about 1.5 km (approximately a 30-minute walk). The trail is relatively well-maintained, but make sure to wear appropriate footwear as it can be muddy. You will encounter beautiful scenic views along the way as you get closer to the waterfall.
