Getting There

Car
From the center of Tilcara, head northwest on Avenida Bartolomé de Quiroga. Continue for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach a fork. Take the left fork onto Ruta Provincial 9. Drive for approximately 3 kilometers. You'll see signs for Quebrada de la Cruz. Turn left onto a dirt road where the road is marked. Continue for about 1 kilometer to reach the parking area. Please note that a small parking fee may apply.

Public Transportation
From the main plaza in Tilcara, locate the bus stop near the church where local buses depart. Board a bus heading towards Humahuaca, but inform the driver that you want to get off at Quebrada de la Cruz. The bus ride will take about 15-20 minutes. A small fare of around ARS 50 is expected. Once you get off the bus, it’s a short 10-minute walk to reach the main viewpoint of Quebrada de la Cruz.

If you prefer to walk from Tilcara, start from the main square and walk northwest along Avenida Bartolomé de Quiroga. After about 1.5 kilometers, turn left onto Ruta Provincial 9. Continue walking for another 3 kilometers until you see a sign for Quebrada de la Cruz. Turn onto the dirt road and walk for about 1 kilometer to the viewpoint. This walk will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours depending on your pace.
