Getting There

  • Bus

    Start your journey at the main bus terminal in Ushuaia, located at Av. Maipú 500. Look for the bus line that heads towards the Martial Glacier area, which is usually marked with signs. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. You will want to get off at the stop for 'Martial Glacier'. From the bus stop, you will see a path leading uphill towards Mirador Las Hayas. Follow the path and signs directing you towards the viewpoint. The hike will take around 20-30 minutes, depending on your pace.

    If you prefer to walk, start from the city center, at Plaza Islas Malvinas. Head east along Av. San Martín, and then turn right onto Av. Maipú. Continue walking until you reach the main bus terminal where you can catch the bus to Martial Glacier, or if you feel adventurous, you can continue walking up Av. Luis Fernando Martial which leads directly to the area. The total walking distance is about 5 km, and it will take you around 1.5 to 2 hours to reach the Mirador Las Hayas viewpoint.

    For a more comfortable option, consider taking a taxi from anywhere in Ushuaia. Simply tell the driver to take you to 'Mirador Las Hayas' or 'Martial Glacier'.
