Public Transport
From Ushuaia city center, go to the main bus terminal on Avenida San Martín. Look for the bus line heading towards Cerro Alarkén. The bus ride takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Cerro Alarkén, as not all buses go directly to the entrance. From the bus stop, it's about a 10-minute walk to the preserve entrance. A single bus fare costs approximately 30 ARS.
Walking
From Ushuaia city center, walk southwest towards Avenida San Martín. Continue to Avenida Prefectura Naval Argentina, then straight to Calle Las Flores. Follow Calle Las Flores uphill to the Cerro Alarkén trailhead. The hike from the trailhead to the summit takes about 1-2 hours, depending on your pace. This option is free.
Taxi/Ride-share
Hail a taxi or use a ride-share service from anywhere in Ushuaia. Provide the driver with the address: Cerro Alarkén, V9410, Tierra del Fuego Province. The journey takes approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Confirm the drop-off point at the nature preserve entrance. A taxi ride will cost an estimated 500-700 ARS.
