Getting There

Public Bus

To reach Cholla Trailhead at Camelback Mountain from the center of Chandler, take Valley Metro Bus Route 156 from the Chandler Fashion Center. Board the bus heading north towards the Paradise Valley area. After approximately 25 minutes, transfer at the intersection of Camelback Road and 32nd Street. Catch the Route 3 bus heading west. After about 10 minutes, get off at the stop closest to 5150 N Invergordon Rd. From there, it’s a short 10-minute walk north to the Cholla Trailhead. Follow Invergordon Rd until you reach the entrance to Camelback Mountain.
Bicycle

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local bike shops in Chandler. Start your journey by heading north on Rural Rd. Continue to follow the bike paths which will lead you directly towards Paradise Valley. When you reach Camelback Road, turn left and follow it until you reach Invergordon Rd. Then, turn right to reach the Cholla Trailhead. The ride takes roughly 1 hour depending on your pace.
Walking

For those who enjoy walking, start from the downtown area of Chandler. Walk north on Arizona Ave until you reach the intersection with Pecos Rd. Turn left and walk until you hit the intersection with N 24th St. Continue walking straight, passing through several residential neighborhoods, and eventually reach Camelback Rd. Once you reach Camelback Rd, turn left and walk for about 10 minutes until you reach Invergordon Rd. Finally, turn right and walk for approximately 5 minutes to reach the Cholla Trailhead.
