Continue on Highway 89A until you reach the junction with Highway 67. Follow Highway 67 north towards the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. After approximately 30 miles, you'll arrive at the entrance to Grand Canyon National Park. There is an entrance fee of $35 per vehicle, valid for 7 days. Once inside the park, follow the signs to the Lava Falls Trailhead, which is located near the Colorado River. Make sure to check for any road closures or conditions before your trip.
Public Transportation
For those relying on public transportation, take a Greyhound bus to Flagstaff, Arizona. From Flagstaff, you will need to rent a car or arrange for a shuttle service to the Grand Canyon. There are several shuttle services available that can take you from Flagstaff to the Grand Canyon's North Rim. Once you arrive at the Grand Canyon, you will still need to pay the $35 entrance fee per vehicle. Ask the shuttle driver to drop you off at the Lava Falls Trailhead. Be sure to confirm the shuttle schedule in advance, as they may not run frequently.
Hiking
If you are already at a nearby trail or camping area within the Grand Canyon National Park, you can hike to the Lava Falls Trailhead. Make sure you have a detailed map of the area and enough water and supplies, as this is a backcountry area.
