Public Bus
From downtown Flagstaff, head to the nearest bus stop at the Flagstaff City Hall (211 W Aspen Ave). Take the Mountain Line bus Route 10 towards the Wupatki Visitor Center. The bus will take you directly to the visitor center. The ride lasts approximately 30 minutes. Make sure to check the schedule for the latest times.
Bicycle
Start from downtown Flagstaff and head northeast on N San Francisco St. Continue onto E Butler Ave, then turn left onto N Fort Valley Rd. Follow Fort Valley Rd until you reach the Wupatki Visitor Center. The ride is about 12 miles and should take around 1 hour. There are bike lanes along most of the route, making it a safe option.
Walking
If you're feeling adventurous and want to hike to the Wupatki Visitor Center, start at the downtown Flagstaff area and head north on N San Francisco St towards E Cedar Ave. Then, take N Fort Valley Rd. It is a long walk of about 12 miles, so prepare for a 4-5 hour journey. Be sure to bring plenty of water and snacks for the trip!
