From Gilbert, head to the nearest Valley Metro Light Rail station at the intersection of Gilbert Road and Main Street. Take the light rail heading towards Phoenix. Stay on the light rail until you reach the Central Ave/Camelback station. Transfer to bus route 50, which will take you towards 56th St and Camelback Rd. Get off at the stop near 56th St and Sierra Vista Dr. From there, walk east on Sierra Vista Dr for about 0.3 miles until you reach the Quartz Ridge Trailhead.

Start at the Gilbert Town Square. Head west on E Civic Center Dr toward S Gilbert Rd. Turn left onto S Gilbert Rd and follow it north until you reach E Baseline Rd. Turn right onto E Baseline Rd and use the bike lanes to head west. Continue on Baseline Rd until you reach S 48th St, then turn left. Follow S 48th St until you reach E Sierra Vista Dr. Turn right, and you'll find Quartz Ridge Trailhead at 6511 E Sierra Vista Dr.

If you are near the Gilbert Community Center, start walking north on E Juniper Ave towards N Gilbert Rd. Turn left onto N Gilbert Rd. Continue walking north until you reach E Baseline Rd. Cross over to the other side of E Baseline Rd and continue walking north on S 48th St. When you reach E Sierra Vista Dr, turn right and walk until you find Quartz Ridge Trailhead located at 6511 E Sierra Vista Dr.
