  • Walking

    From Mill Avenue and University Drive, walk north on Mill Avenue towards the lake. Cross Rio Salado Parkway and continue to Tempe Beach Park on the south shore of Tempe Town Lake. The walking distance is approximately 0.25 miles.

  • Public Transport

    Take the Valley Metro Rail to the 3rd Street/Mill Avenue Station. From the station, walk north on Mill Avenue, cross Rio Salado Parkway, and you'll arrive at Tempe Beach Park on the south shore of Tempe Town Lake. A single ride fare is $2, or a day pass is $4.

  • Driving

    From the Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway, take the Mill Avenue exit and head south. Turn left onto Rio Salado Parkway. Parking is available in various garages and metered street parking in the area. Parking fees range from $2-$6. Metered street parking costs $1-$2 per hour, free on Sundays.
