Getting There

  • Driving

    From Grand Canyon Village, drive east on Desert View Drive (Arizona State Route 64) for approximately 18 miles. Moran Point will be on your right. Parking is free. Be aware that the parking lot can fill up quickly during peak season.

  • Public Transport

    Take the free shuttle bus system. From March through November, the Kaibab Rim Route (Orange) provides service to the South Kaibab Trailhead, Yaki Point, and Yavapai Geology Museum. From May 24 through September 5, the Tusayan Route (Purple) provides free shuttle bus service between the NPS South Rim Visitor Center and the gateway community of Tusayan. All shuttle services are included with your park entrance fees. A vehicle pass costs $35, a motorcycle pass costs $30, and entering the park on foot, bicycle, park shuttle bus, and private rafting trip costs $20 per person.

The viewpoint is easily accessible, with a parking lot just a short walk away.
