Getting There

Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the Grand Canyon Village area. Head south on AZ-64 from Grand Canyon Village. Follow the signs for South Kaibab Trailhead. After about 2.5 miles, turn right onto South Kaibab Trail. Continue down this road until you reach the parking area for the South Kaibab Trailhead. From the parking area, you will find the trail leading to The Tipoff. Note that there is a parking fee of $35 for a private vehicle, which is valid for 7 days.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take the Grand Canyon Shuttle System from various locations within the Grand Canyon National Park. Board the Blue Route Shuttle which goes to the South Kaibab Trailhead. The shuttle operates seasonally, so check the schedule in advance. Once you arrive at the South Kaibab Trailhead, follow the marked trail to The Tipoff. The shuttle service is included in your park entrance fee.
