Getting There

  • Shuttle Bus

    From March 1st through November 30th, access to Mohave Point is via the free Hermit Road Shuttle (Red Route). This shuttle departs from the Hermit's Rest Transfer Station near Grand Canyon Village. No tickets are required. The shuttle arrives every 15-30 minutes, and the ride to Mohave Point offers scenic views along the way. The entire round trip on the shuttle takes approximately 80 minutes. During the months of December, January, and February, Hermit Road is open to private vehicles.

  • Walking

    Mohave Point can be reached by walking along the Canyon Rim Trail. The mostly paved path stretches from Grand Canyon Village to Hermit's Rest, with the trail running between Hermit Road and the canyon rim. From Hopi Point, it is about a 1 mile walk to Mohave Point. Remember to bring water and wear appropriate shoes, as the elevation at the South Rim is around 7,000 feet.
