Public Bus

To reach the Phoenix Zoo from Mesa, start by heading to the nearest Valley Metro bus stop. You can take the Route 30 bus (Mesa to Phoenix) from the Mesa Downtown area. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the next departure. Once aboard, stay on the bus for approximately 40 minutes. You will need to disembark at the stop for the 'McDowell Rd & 44th St' stop. From there, transfer to Route 3, which will take you directly to the Phoenix Zoo. The zoo is just a short walk from the bus stop at 'Galvin Parkway'. Follow the signs to the zoo entrance.
Bicycle

If you're feeling adventurous, consider biking to the Phoenix Zoo. Start from downtown Mesa and head west on Main St. Continue biking until you reach Country Club Dr, where you will turn left. Follow Country Club Dr until you reach McKellips Rd. Turn right onto McKellips and follow it until it merges with the Pima Freeway (AZ-101) access road. Follow the bike path signage to continue toward Galvin Pkwy. The zoo is located at 455 N Galvin Pkwy. Make sure to wear a helmet and stay safe on the roads!
