To reach the Japanese Friendship Garden from the Mesa area, start by making your way to the nearest Valley Metro bus stop. You can catch Route 30 at the Mesa Arts Center stop. Ride the bus towards Phoenix until you reach the 'Central Ave/Van Buren St' stop. From there, transfer to Route 1, which will take you north. Get off at the '3rd Ave/Camelback Rd' stop. Walk south on 3rd Ave for about 5 minutes, and you will see the garden on your left at 1125 N 3rd Ave.

Light Rail
Begin your journey at the Mesa City Center Light Rail Station. Board the light rail train towards the direction of the 'Phoenix/3rd St' station. After approximately 30 minutes, disembark at the 'Van Buren St/Central Ave' station. From there, walk a couple of blocks east to '3rd Ave', then head south for about 10 minutes on 3rd Ave. The Japanese Friendship Garden will be on your left at 1125 N 3rd Ave.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local rental shop in Mesa. Head towards the Arizona Canal Trail and follow it west until you reach the 'Indian School Rd' intersection. Continue north on 3rd Ave for about 3 miles until you arrive at 1125 N 3rd Ave, where the Japanese Friendship Garden is located. There are bike racks available near the entrance.

If you are within walking distance of downtown Mesa, start from the Mesa Arts Center and head west on Main St. Continue walking until you reach 3rd Ave, then turn left. Walk south for approximately 1.5 miles. You will see the Japanese Friendship Garden on your left at 1125 N 3rd Ave.
