Public Transit
To get to Tortilla Flat from downtown Mesa, start by heading to the Mesa Arts Center located at 1 E Main St. From there, take the Valley Metro Route 61 bus towards Apache Junction. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the stop at the intersection of Apache Junction and State Route 88. Once you get off, you will need to walk about 1.5 miles. Head east on State Route 88, which leads you directly to Tortilla Flat. The scenic route along the way provides beautiful views of the Superstition Mountains.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in downtown Mesa. Start your ride at the Mesa Community College and head east on Southern Ave. Continue until you reach Power Rd, then turn left. After a short distance, turn right onto E Apache Trail (SR 88). Follow this road for about 14 miles until you reach Tortilla Flat. The ride is mostly scenic, but be prepared for some uphill sections as you approach the destination.

Walking to Tortilla Flat is not practical due to the distance from central Mesa, as it is over 20 miles away. However, if you are determined to walk, you can start your journey from the Mesa Convention Center. Head east on Main St, then turn onto Power Rd and follow it north until you reach Apache Trail (SR 88). From there, continue along Apache Trail heading east for approximately 20 miles.
