    Walking

    The Post is located in the heart of downtown Mesa, making it easily accessible on foot from many nearby attractions and parking areas. From the Mesa Arts Center, walk south on N Center St, then turn right onto W Main St, and finally turn left onto N Macdonald; The Post will be on your left. Walking from the light rail station at Center St/Main St is similar, heading east on Main St then turning left onto N Macdonald. There is no cost associated with walking.

    Public Transport

    The Valley Metro Rail has three stops in Downtown Mesa: Country Club Dr/Main St, Center St/Main St, and Mesa Dr/Main St. From any of these stops, it's a short walk to The Post. Alternatively, several Valley Metro bus routes serve the downtown area. Check the Valley Metro website for the most up-to-date schedules and routes. A single ride on the light rail or bus costs $2.00.

    The Post, situated at 26 N Macdonald in Mesa, Arizona, stands as a testament to the city's rich history. Originally constructed in 1936 and expanded in 1960, this building served as Mesa's first post office until around 1980. After the post office moved to a larger facility, the building was repurposed as a federal facility, housing the US Forest Service, US Fish and Wildlife, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives (ATF).In 2002, the City of Mesa acquired the building and utilized it for museum storage while planning a comprehensive restoration. In 2018, Mesa voters approved a $7.4 million bond to transform The Post into a dynamic community event space. Today, The Post features a flexible open area suitable for various gatherings, along with office and conference room spaces. Throughout the venue, historical features are highlighted, including the iconic flagpole and vintage architectural details, offering visitors a glimpse into the building's past.The Post is now a popular venue for weddings, meetings, receptions, and corporate events. Its central location in downtown Mesa makes it easily accessible and close to other attractions, dining, and shopping options.
