The Hanging Garden Trail, near Page, Arizona, is an easy 1.2 to 1.5-mile round trip hike in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area that leads to a unique hanging garden, a lush collection of ferns and other plants thriving in a sheltered alcove fed by a natural spring. The trail offers scenic views of the surrounding landscape and Lake Powell.

Driving
From Page, Arizona, head north on Highway 89. Just before crossing the Glen Canyon Dam bridge, turn right onto the dirt road marked with a hiker sign. Follow the dirt road for approximately 500 yards to the trailhead parking area. There is no fee for parking at the Hanging Garden Trailhead. Note that entrance fees to Glen Canyon National Recreation Area may apply if you are visiting other areas within the park. A 1-7 day vehicle pass is $30.
Walking
The Hanging Garden Trailhead is located approximately 1 mile east of the Carl Hayden Visitor Center. From the visitor center, walk east along Highway 89. After about 1 mile, turn left onto the dirt road marked with a hiker sign, just before the Glen Canyon Dam bridge. Follow the dirt road for approximately 500 yards to the trailhead parking area. Exercise caution while walking along the highway.
