Getting There

• Public Bus

  From downtown Tempe, walk to the nearest bus stop on Mill Avenue and 3rd Street. Take the Valley Metro Bus Route 66 towards 'Tempe - Baseline'. It is approximately a 10-minute ride. Get off at the 'McDowell Rd & Galvin Pkwy' stop. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk to the Phoenix Zoo. Just head north on Galvin Parkway until you reach the entrance at 455 N Galvin Pkwy.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local bike-share service. Start at the Tempe Town Lake area and head east on the bike path along Tempe Town Lake. Continue on the bike path until you reach the intersection with Galvin Parkway. Turn left and follow Galvin Parkway north for about 2 miles. The Phoenix Zoo will be on your left at 455 N Galvin Pkwy.

• Walking

  If you're staying near the Tempe Marketplace, it's about a 45-minute walk to the Phoenix Zoo. Head south on Town Lake Parkway until you reach the intersection with McDowell Road. Turn left on McDowell Road and continue east. Once you reach Galvin Parkway, turn right and walk north. The zoo entrance will be located on your left at 455 N Galvin Pkwy.

• Rideshare (Uber/Lyft)

  For a more convenient option, you can use rideshare services like Uber or Lyft. Open the app and set your destination to 'Phoenix Zoo, 455 N Galvin Pkwy'. Depending on traffic, the ride will take about 20-30 minutes from most locations in Tempe.
